I am still here . . . and working on PDP reports for 2026.

Mark Twain famously said, “The report of my death was an exaggeration”.

I am not dead and still here to help you find the drug plan that best suits your needs.

It now appears that some who read my last newsletter assumed I was no longer involved in the AEP (open enrollment).

Nope. Still here. Still working.

Oh, and . . . I have had issues with my bobvineyard.com email address . . . hope to have it fixed soon . . . in the interim bob.vineyard@gmail.com works fine.

Not true.

I still pay for software that runs drug comparisons and will search for ways to save money for generic and brand name drugs. Everything I did in the past is still part of my routine.

What I will not be doing is enrolling clients in a different plan during AEP. Instead, you will be provided with instructions about self enrolling in a new plan. There are several ways you can do this by phone or by logging into your MyMedicare account.

Many folks with Wellcare will keep their plan and let it roll over to 2026

Self enrollment should not take more than a few minutes.

I run the reports . . . you enroll yourself in a new plan.

You can call the carrier using the toll free numbers above

You can also call Medicare at 1-800-633-4227 and ask for Part D assistance.

And you can self enroll via your MyMedicare account.

Oh, and the colors in the table don’t mean anything. They are merely there to provide separation between the carriers and maybe make it easier to read.

How CARRIERS are paid by Medicare vs Advantage starts at the 40 second mark. About a minute into the video you are told how managed care maximizes their profit by limiting or denying care your doctor has prescribed.

How managed care “games the system” to limit care starts at the 2:30 mark. This manipulation can lead to inaccurate or misinformation in your health records that could cause future applications for life or health insurance to be denied.

At the 3:30 mark learn how to report a plan that you believe is improperly denying your care.

At 3:50 learn how your plan can change from year to year which may involve moving you from a PPO plan to a more restrictive and costly HMO plan.
